Firefighters and law enforcement personnel discovered an unidentified woman’s remains in a fire ravaged travel-trailer in Janesville December 5th in the evening.
According to a statement by Janesville Fire Chief Robert Stading, at 9:28 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, the Janesville Fire was dispatched to a travel-trailer on fire.
Upon arrival at scene, firefighters found a fully involved trailer with an extension to an adjacent outbuilding.
The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office advised a female occupant might still be inside.
Stading said, “Through coordinated response by Janesville Fire Protection District, CalFire and Milford, we were able to get a knockdown and recover the deceased victim.”
The cause of the fire is unknown and the incident remains under investigation.
