The Plumas County cyber hack has yet to be fixed. Gabriel Hydrick, county administrator, posted to the county website that the disruption happened on the 14th to which the county secured it’s systems and took them offline as soon as they learned about the problem. It also states that out of an abundance of caution an investigation was launched and the county contacted the state and law enforcement. You are being assured that your information with the Plumas county tax collector is safe. All tax payments are on a separate secure internet server that is not included in the disruption. Your payments will be processed as soon as possible one all systems are restored. If you have any questions you can call the treasurer tax collector’s office at 283-6260.
