Lassen County Elections Office is closing in on wrapping up the counting of the final ballots from the March 5th Presidential Primary.
165 remain, with 79 ready to count. 50 are Conditional Voter Registration Provisional ballots, and another 36 have signature issues. Thus far, 6890 ballots have been processed. The next results update is anticipated by 5 p.m. today, though all leaders in local races remain unchanged and are likely to hold onto their wins.

Plumas County is expected to have updated results as of today, a second update following the first unofficial results after the polls closed two weeks ago. Measure A, the ¾ percent sales transaction tax increase hangs in the balance. The Sheriff’s Office hopes to secure voter approval to obtain approximately 2.4 million dollars in funding to enhance staffing and compete with neighboring county departments.

Results will be shared as they become available.

The state will declare official results on April 12th once they are certified.
