Plumas County has joined the newly formed district 3 following the State’s redistricting based on census data from 2020. The district covers Placer, Nevada County, Plumas, Sierra, Alpine, Inyo, and Mono, as well as Folsom and Orangevale in Sacramento County, Eastern Yuba, and Eastern El Dorado county.
This coming Thursday, to educate your vote you will the opportunity to listen in to a debate between the two candidates fighting for the House seat. Those candidates are Democrat Kermit Jones, a doctor from Roseville, and Republican Kevin Kiley, a member of the state Assembly now representing El Dorado, Placer, and Sacramento counties.
The debate will be held on KCRA 3 and moderated by channel 3 anchor Edie Lambert and CapRadio state politics reporter Nicole Nixon. The debate will air live at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th on KCRA 3 and stream on KCRA.com. or you can tune in to the broadcast on Quincy’s KQNC 88.1.
