An all too familiar scene along highway 395 at sears Road. A vehicle was broadsided by an oncoming vehicle after attempting to cross the highway. Multiple people involved in the collision were transported to hospitals some by care flight for their injuries that CHP is reporting to be moderate at this time. More details will be released as they become available. 395 remains a dangerous corridor through Lassen County. In just a two year time span over 250 collisions occurred on 395, across the three counties it passes through with those collisions resulting in 143 injuries and killing a total of eight people. As April is distracted driving awareness month the CHP reminds you to not engage in activity that takes your attention away from the task of safe driving, serious injury or death can be the result.
