Plumas Search and Rescue recovers a body along the powerhouse trail in the Caribou area after receiving a call for an injured climber.
The team responded to the call, yet upon arrival, the team discovered the individual, whose name is being withheld, could not survive the extent of injuries sustained after slipping off the trail upstream of the powerhouse. A CHP helicopter, with the Redding Air Operations, transported the victim to waiting SAR personnel. Plumas Search and Rescue received additional support from the US Forest Service, Plumas County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and PG&E personnel.
The team extended their condolences to the family of the individual. No further details are known at this time.
