The City of Susanville council convenes to address various critical matters concerning the city’s development, among other key updates.
The council will consider adopting the Final General Plan Land Use Element Update and its Circulation Element Update, highlighting the city’s efforts to shape its developmental blueprint and enhance transportation infrastructure. Additionally, the council deliberated on enforcing civil penalties for city code violations for two Cottage and Russell Streets properties. Under new items to discuss, the council will look at several proposals ranging from initiatives like the Local Area Revitalization Project Co-op (LARP), aiming to bolster local agriculture and sustainability efforts by establishing market gardens, to infrastructure upgrades such as the purchase of new bleachers for the Susanville Little League Pat Murphey Fields, current seating at the farm and t-ball fields have been damaged from recent vandalism and agreements to enhance the city’s golf course with new irrigation. Logistical matters, including meeting cancellations and fund authorizations, are also addressed.
