The City of Susanville has a packed agenda coming this Wednesday. The council is weighing the decision to consider the proposal for a community composting project. This will consist of promoting a business industry to provide locally sourced materials from kitchen scraps, manures, yard trimmings, and recycled forest products into soil amendments to provide to home gardeners and agricultural producers. Council will also revisit the South East Gateway Project that is set to beautify the entrance into the City around the Wal-Mart and Walgreens intersection. This will be to initiate the design phase of the project. The council will also look to fill a seat on the Economic Ad hoc Committee that was left vacant by Brian Moore who was not re-elected to the city council. The new appointment will join Mayor McCourt on the committee. The council meeting is set for this coming Wednesday the 17th starting at 5 pm at City Hall.
