Local Area Revitalization Project Co-Op gets approved by the Susanville City Council to close parts of uptown to hold 13 Saturday Markets and five night markets. City Public Works Director Bob Godman said crews would close Pancera Plaza from 9 pm on Fridays to 1 pm on Saturday afternoon to accommodate the weekend market. During the Wednesday evening markets, Pancera Plaza and a portion of South Gay Street will close from 3 pm to 9 pm. David Teeter speaking for LARP at last evening’s council meeting, said the evening markets have grown significantly in popularity, thus the need to expand the street closure as they welcome in more visitors and vendors alike.

The first market will kick off the season Saturday, June 10th.
