The Chester Cemetery re-opens after being closed since the Dixie fire burned the grounds, facility, and equipment. As of the weekend debris and burnt vehicles have been removed, hazardous trees were taken down, and electrical power has been restored. The pump for the well is also back up and running. Although opened just ahead of Memorial Day the site was not able to have services held to honor the day but veteran’s graves were able to be visited by families and each had a brand new American flag marking their service. A grand opening for the cemetery is being talked about for this Fall.
