Newest LMUD board member, Charity Moore was sworn in.
“Charity will serve as the Ward 2 representative through December 31, 2026,” said LMUD’s General Manager, Nick Dominquez. “Charity took the oath of office this morning and was sworn into the director role by Karen Rollings, Board Secretary.” “I am honored to represent and serve our community,” said Charity. “I am looking forward to learning the ins and outs of the District and the utility industry. Serving with integrity and transparency is my highest priority.”
Charity is fulfilling Bud Bowden’s unexpired board seat and was appointed to the board during closed session on June 19th.
Director Bowden announced his retirement from the board in May.
The remaining board members announced that they would seek applications for the seat through a public recruitment of interested and eligible applicants. It was through that process that Charity was selected.
The LMUD board meets tonight, Tuesday, June 24th at 5:30 p.m. in the board room located at 65 S. Roop. As always, the public is encouraged to attend. Meeting agendas can be found at www.lmud.org
