Today marks the end of the extended deadline for two Lassen and Plumas County candidate declarations as the incumbents did not file to re-run for this June’s Primary election. This is also the deadline for the extension of 42 incumbents on the larger stage who failed to file. This includes 5 members of congress, 10 state assemblymembers, and 26 state senators. With the high number of incumbents failing to file for re-election the chances of a contested Primary is increased. The primary is set for June 7th, and if you wish to vote your last day to register is May 23rd. The General Election will be on November 8th.
