Following the 5.5 and 5.2 earthquakes that struck Lake Almanor late last week, Caltrans District 2 crews proactively inspected local bridges. The crew visited 11 bridges, including the Spanish Creek Bridge on State Route 70 and the Lake Almanor Spillway Bridge on State Route 89.

While there were no significant reports of damage to any roadways, Caltrans still took the initiative to inspect these bridges for any cracks or misalignments. No damage was found, helping you ensure you are safe while traveling throughout the region.
