Caltrans looks to improve the safety of the intersection of A-13 and Highway 36 in the Lake Alamanor area. In the coming weeks, Caltrans will host a community meeting to discuss the project, which aims to reduce the frequency and severity of car crashes at this intersection leading to the Hamilton branch and will include the construction of a roundabout. Work is expected to begin as early as this fall.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 17, from 4-6 p.m. at the Almanor Recreation Center in Chester.
