Caltrans Announces Rest Areas Reopening in Plumas and Shasta Counties Easing Traveler Fatigue

Tomorrow, travelers can catch a break from the road as five rest areas reopen following winter closures.

On Wednesday, May 1, the following Rest Areas within Caltrans District 2 are planned to reopen following seasonal closures:

These include the rest areas on SR 70 in Plumas County, Massack outside of Quincy, Lester T Davis near Portola, and Lake Almanor Rest Area along SR 36 East of Chester.

Hillcrest and the Shingletown Rest area in Shasta are also slated to reopen.
