The Susanville CHP will join a 24-hour Maximum Enforcement Period focused on speeding. This effort runs from 6 a.m. on April 28 to 5:59 a.m. on April 29.
Officers will watch roads closely throughout the day and night. They will take action against drivers who drive faster than the posted speed limits or at speeds unsafe for the conditions.
Speeding limits a driver’s ability to react to traffic changes. It also raises the chances of serious or fatal crashes. Even small increases in speed can change the severity of a crash.
This operation reminds you that no time or place is safe for speeding. Slowing down can save lives and help keep roads safer for everyone. Will you adjust your speed to protect yourself and others?
