Burn permits will be suspended for Lassen, Plumas, and Modoc counties by Monday. CAL Fire has established the suspension as temperatures peak this week and dry conditions continue throughout the state. As of the start of next week, you will not be allowed to burn your leaves and yard debris. Outdoor residential burning will be prohibited; campfires within campgrounds and at your home do not apply as long as they can be maintained to spread into your surrounding property. Calfire urges you to prepare your home’s defensible space by visiting readyforwildfire.org
