SHARE NOW

Lassen, Modoc & Plumas Counties – The CAL FIRE Lassen Modoc Unit Chief will be temporarily suspending all burn permits beginning Friday, October 24, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. This suspension will remain in effect until Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. No
burning will be allowed within that time frame. Make sure all previously burned debris piles are cold to the touch. This suspension is the result of the forecasted high wind conditions that will be widespread throughout the area ahead of the incoming storm.
As a reminder prior to burning always call (530) 251-4403 to determine the burn day status.
** The suspension of burn permits for residential landscape debris does not apply to
campfires within organized campgrounds or on private property. Campfires may be
permitted if the campfire is maintained in such a manner as to prevent its spread to the
wildland. A valid campfire permit is required and can be obtained online at
www.ReadyForWildfire.org.
