CAL FIRE assisted the Susan River Fire Protection District with a vegetation fire reported near Johnstonville Quality Foods this evening. The fire spread between buildings and through the vegetation covering approximately 1/2 an acre. Resources on scene worked to quickly extinguish the fire and no structures were lost. Also at scene to help with the fire were resources from Susanville City Fire Department, Lake Forest Fire Protection District, Janesville Fire District and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Department.
