The Bureau of Land Management will close the Alturas office for much-needed remodeling. The design will include a new interior layout to meet the staff’s needs. The exterior will include extending the parking lot to accommodate vehicles with trailers. The staff will continue to be able to assist the community by working remotely and out of the Cedarville office, where all calls will be forwarded to. For those who will need to purchase maps or permits for firewood, you can visit the Blm webpage at www.blm.gov
