A new hotel may be coming to Main street in Susanville. Best Western Hotel is seeking a permit from the City of Susanville Planning Commission today. The hotel group is looking to build a 3-story 64-unit hotel with a swimming pool. The proposed site is located in the vacant lot between Best Western Sure Stay’s current location and O’Reiley’s Auto Parts, at 2755 Main street. The hotel location will also accommodate 67 parking spaces and a new driveway will be constructed bringing improvements to the current curb, gutter, and sidewalks. There have been no complaints filed to the planning commission by any of the neighbors of the site and the planning commission is recommending the approval of the use permit. The commission meets today at 5:30 in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
