Ballots are trickling in from the Primary held on June 7th and two Lassen County races are tightening. Lassen County Clerk-Recorder, Julie Bustamante says they are down to under 200 ballots left to count from the over 1000 following election night. Ballots postmarked by Election Day can still arrive by tomorrow with corrected signatures and full signatures have until the 17th, this Friday to be returned. The battle for Lassen County District 5 Supervisor is a matter of 15 votes between Tom Traphagen and Jason Ingram, yet likely neither candidate will push over that 50% mark and the race will head to the November General Election. As for the 2 full-term City council seats, Mendy Schuster maintains a stronghold of her lead, but the race is close between Russ Brown and Tony Ardito vying for that second chair. Brown currently holds the lead with 23 votes. County elections offices must report final official results to the Secretary of State by no later than July 8.
