Caltrans District 2 completes its draft of it’s Active Transportation Plan for Lassen and Plumas Counties. The plan addresses What it is like to walk or bicycle along the highway systems that serve as many of the county’s main roads. Communities were asked where there are opportunity areas to replace driving trips with walking and bicycling trips as well as Location-based needs as well as identifying existing barriers and gaps in the road systems for pedestrian and bicycles. The district is looking for your comments on the draft of the plan until this Thursday. The next steps following public commenting is Coordination, facilitation, and project development steps.
