Assemblywoman Heather Hadwick announces that her first bill, Assembly Bill 584, has been signed into law, marking a major milestone both for her office and for Second Amendment rights in California.
Hadwick’s office points out that AB 584 is the first pro-Second Amendment bill signed into law in California in over 20 years. The bill updates secure storage requirements for licensed firearms dealers and manufacturers, allowing the use of steel doors with panic hardware and multipoint locks to better protect firearms when businesses are closed.
Hadwick said she thanks the California Rifle & Pistol Association and Gun Owners of California for their partnership and advocacy in getting this historic bill across the finish line.
Hadwick serves the 1st Assembly District, which includes Plumas County.
