Canyon Dam Boat launch will be closed to recreationists in the height of summer. Though the closure is temporary and aims to allow an upgrade to the dock bumper as well as apply a coat of anti-slip paint. The day-use area and Almanor Recreation trail will remain open. If you wish to still get out on the water with your boat you can still access the Almanor Boat launch at Almanor North Campground. The closure will begin on Monday the 8th through Tuesday.
