Students at Feather River College will have on-campus housing soon with state approval for construction funding. The college was recently awarded a 350,000 dollar planning grant to begin. President Kevin Trutna says the plans include a 126-unit complex with single and multiple-room apartments. The housing complex could be available to students in the next few years if construction funding is approved. The college has seen its housing waitlist for students top over 100. The college is spearheading the build in efforts to attract and keep students and free up housing for the local community as the county continues to face a housing crisis following the impacts of the Dixie Fire.
