More delays for your summer recreation travel plans. Lassen Volcanic National Park’s 30-mile highway is getting a new top coat. You can expect delays of up to 30 minutes from now until August 15 for chip sealing.
Ways for you to enjoy the wait though as suggested by the Lassen Volcanic Park include, packing a pair of binoculars and enjoying the view wherever you’re stopped or downloading Lassen Volcanic on the NPS App and listening to the highway audio tour.
Additionally, the entire Lassen Peak Trail Will Be Closed on 7/12 for repair, and a reminder you cannot circumvent the trail closure by going off-trail as that is always prohibited on Lassen Peak.
