Susanville Ranch Park will be undergoing a meadow restoration project. The Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District has been awarded $300,000 by the CA Department of Conservation. According to the Honey Lake Valley RCD, with the help of Lassen County, Lassen County UCCE, Fish and Wildlife, Point Blue Conservation Science, and the Lassen County Cattlewomen, this project will increase riparian restoration efforts and improve overall meadow health within the Ranch Park’s mountain meadow areas, bring in interpretive signage, and allow for mitigation of fuels along the meadow edges and shrublands. The project is expected to break ground in the coming months.
