The Firefighters spent the day improving and strengthening control lines to prevent fire growth due to the fuels and terrain. The fire’s behavior is moderate.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office evacuation warning remains in effect for the Philbrook Lake and Snag Lake areas. Potential threats to the fire are hot and dry conditions that will continue throughout the week, with a possibility of isolated thunderstorms each day. The thunderstorms may contain gusty winds with minimal associated precipitation.
