Conserve your energy, that’s what Plumas Sierra Rural Electric is telling its customers this morning after a system-wide outage plunged nearly 8000 homes into darkness around nine last evening.
PSREC says they lost the main feed from PG&E and have temporarily connected to NV energy to bring lights back on. But the utility says while they work towards the complete restoration of their main line, that you should use only necessary appliances while the utility is on the backup line. PG&E is reporting outages along highway 32 and through La Porte.
No further information about why PSREC lost connection to PG&E has been made available.
