The Lassen County Office of Education (LCOE) will host its 4th Annual Career & Skills Day on April 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., bringing together high school students and local businesses and organizations for a day of career
exploration and hands-on learning. Career & Skills Day provides students from across Lassen County with the opportunity to explore a wide range of career pathways through interactive demonstrations and real-world insights. The event is designed to go beyond traditional job awareness by allowing students to engage directly with professionals, learn about required skills and training, and gain a better understanding of potential future careers. LCOE is currently seeking participation from local businesses, industry professionals, and community organizations interested in connecting with students. Participants are encouraged to host booths, provide demonstrations, and share information about their fields, helping students make meaningful connections between education and workforce opportunities. “This event is about inspiring students and helping them see the possibilities available to them right here in Lassen County,” James Hall, Director of Student, Family & Community Engagement stated, “By partnering with our local businesses and organizations, we can create valuable experiences that support students in planning for their futures.”
