Many homes in Quincy will wake up to power this morning, yet another 2500 in the North valley will likely not get power back on until today or later says PG&E. The winter storm hit the area hard Sunday as multiple downed trees, broken power poles and lines left the county in the dark. Homes and even the Plumas District hospital have been impacted. The areas with the most damage and power outages currently are Brownsville, Clipper Mills, Cohasset, Forbes Town, La Porte, Magalia, Meadow Valley, Oroville, Sterling City and Quincy. About 150 customers in Spanish Ranch and Meadow Valley and nearly 500 homes in Strawberry Valley, American House, La Porte and Little Grass Valley have been without power for the last 5 days. For outage report updates for those who cannot access the internet you can call PG&E at 800-743-5002.
