The California Highway Patrol recently graduated 95 new recruits from its academy in Sacramento, and one will be joining the ranks at the Susanville Office.
This coming week, the department welcomed Officer Shawn Moon.
Moon was part of a hiring campaign launched In June of 2022; the multi-year recruitment campaign aimed to recruit and hire 1,000 officers.
To date, more than 300 have graduated from the 26-week-long academy in West Sacramento. New officers are expected to report to their locations on January 15th.
The Susanville Office congratulates Officer Moon and welcomes him to the communities in and surrounding Lassen County.
