The Lassen County Office of Education (LCOE) proudly hosted the 2026 Educator Gala on May 15, 2026, at the Susanville Performing Arts Center, welcoming more than 200 guests for an evening dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the
individuals who make a lasting impact on education throughout Lassen County.
The annual gala honored outstanding teachers, administrators, classified staff, retirees, volunteers, and community partners whose dedication and service continue to support students, schools, and families across the county. The event served as a meaningful opportunity for educators and community members to come together and celebrate the incredible work taking place in Lassen County schools every day.
Throughout the evening, attendees reflected on the passion, compassion, leadership, and commitment demonstrated by this year’s nominees and honorees. Awards recognized individuals who go above and beyond in their roles to create positive learning environments, inspire student success, and strengthen school communities.
Guests also enjoyed live music performed by the band Timeless, helping create an energetic and celebratory atmosphere throughout the evening. Local SusanvilleStuff owner and community advocate Jeremy Couso served as master of ceremonies, guiding attendees through the program and helping recognize the many individuals being honored.
“The Educator Gala is an opportunity to shine a light on the extraordinary people who dedicate themselves to supporting students and public education,” said Patty Gunderson, Lassen County Superintendent of Schools. “From teachers and support staff to volunteers and community partners, each person recognized plays an important role in helping students succeed and strengthening our communities.”
LCOE extends sincere appreciation to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to the success of the event. The evening was a powerful reminder of the strong partnerships and shared commitment that continue to make Lassen County schools and communities thrive.
