According to CalFire, the 1-1Fire began near Sand Canyon and Belfast about 10:44 a.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 24. As of 1:40 p.m., Multiple aircraft and fire crews were dispatched to the scene and were fighting moderate to heavy winds due to thunderstorms and outflow winds. The blaze didn’t threaten any structures and no injuries or damage has been reported. The fire was mapped at approximately 5– acres. Late in the afternoon, dozer crews were able to get a line all around the fire and the weather helping a bit too with cooler temps and even some rain. As of late Sunday evening the fire was completely contained . The cause is under investigation
