Super Tuesday: What You Need to Know

SHARE NOW

Super Tuesday has arrived; 15 states will be holding presidential primaries or caucuses, with over a third of all the available delegates for both the Republican and Democratic nominations at stake.

As local election offices gear up to count your vote, here is what you need to know for those who have yet to do so.

This year, there have been changes in voting locations for five precincts in Lassen County. If you previously voted at the Community Church off Numa Rd. in Susanville, your new voting spot is now at the Clerk’s Office in the Annex building behind the Historic Courthouse. Other locations, such as the Westwood Visitors Center on Third Street, Janesville Fire Hall, Beiber Memorial Building, and the Doyle Senior Center, will remain the same.

If you have a mail-in ballot and prefer to drop it off rather than mailing it, you can do so at the mentioned polling locations. Additionally, drop-off points include:

Lassen County Government Center – 2950 Riverside Dr, Susanville, CA 96130
Westwood Family Resource Center – 463-975 Birch Street, Westwood, CA 96137
Big Valley One Stop – 125 Highway 299 East, Bieber, CA 96009

For Plumas County voters who want to cast their vote in person, bring your unvoted ballot to the Quincy Courthouse polling location. The county sets up voting booths within the Courthouse during every election period. If you’ve already voted but don’t want to mail it, drop your voted ballot into the Ballot Drop-Box outside the Quincy Courthouse or bring it to the Plumas County Elections office within the Courthouse.

Remember, all ballots voted or returned in-person must be turned in by 8 pm on election night. To track your ballot and ensure it has been processed, sign up on the secretary of state website at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov.
