It’s the exciting return of the Almanor North Boat Launch, just in time for the near 80-degree temps this weekend.
The Lassen National Forest announced the facilities reopening for the summer season, stating that a local fabricator and scuba team made vital safety repairs from damages sustained last year when a boat crashed into the dock, putting it out of commission for the remainder of the year. Forest Service Recreation Technicians and Fire Crew reinstalled the dock this Wednesday.
The boat ramp is now in safe and functional condition, ready for those eager to get on the lake. However, forest officials remind you that at this time, The Almanor North Campground and Public Beach will remain closed until preseason preparations are completed.
