Plumas County Veterans Stand Down Event
Plumas County Veterans Services announces this year’s Veterans Stand Down event, set for Sept. 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 55 Bellamy Lane in Quincy.
The stand down is a free two-day event dedicated to serving veterans and their families by connecting them with valuable resources, services and community organizations, said Veteran Service Officer Michael Tortora.
Veterans will have access to:
- Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the California Department of Veterans Affairs
- Veterans service organizations
- Community exhibitors and resources
- Free haircuts
- Free lunch
- Assistance with DD214 requests
- Many other services
