The Lassen Board of supervisors meet this morning. The board will have business as usual. A public hearing for a rezone of county land near Bieber is being proposed and recommended by the planning commission. The Sheriff’s Department is asking the board to Authorize the Sheriff and Director of Behavioral Health, to designate the Lassen County Jail as a “Treatment Facility” in order to provide medically approved medication to inmates who are found to be mentally incompetent to stand trial and unable to provide informed consent due to a mental disorder. The board meets at 9 am at their chamber located on Nevada street in Susanville.
