Lassen County Board of supervisors will be declaring the Primary final election results as certified for Lassen County during the board’s morning meeting today. The county elections office will present those final results to the board and will have until July 8th to report them to the secretary of state for final certification on July 15th. Voter turnout increased since initially reported with Lassen County having a 43% voter turnout, for the first year all ballots were mailed to registered voters in the county. The Supervisors will also be tasked with appointing a county auditor as no candidate qualified to run in the election despite the over 500 write-ins for the office none of those write-ins were qualified by the elections office to be able to take the position according to the Lassen county clerk recorder’s office. The supervisors meet this morning at 9 am at their chambers on Nevada Street in Susanville.
