The Lassen College Foundation board of directors will hold a special meeting today. The board will be receiving an update on the audit that was just finalized by the auditor’s office as was stated during the Lassen College board of trustees meeting last evening by the president and superintendent Dr. Albertson. The audit has caused much controversy as the Eagle Lake recreational area was entangled in the debacle that resulted in the US forest service taking over the permit and operations until a vendor can be brought in. The foundation board will also be reviewing outstanding invoices that have been unpaid for some time contributing to more financial instability. Additionally, the board will be accepting resignation letters from two board members that will leave the foundation’s board in violation of their bylaws as 5 members must be seated. The special meeting will be held in the Board room on the LCC campus beginning at 4:30.
