The Plumas Sheriff’s Office will be conducting boating and water safety awareness for the 4th of July weekend. Operation Dry Water is a national awareness and enforcement campaign that focuses on reducing the number of alcohol and drug-related incidents and fatalities around waterways and aims to foster a stronger, more visible deterrent to alcohol and drug use on the water. You can expect to see an increased presence of patrols throughout the weekend starting Saturday, July 2nd through the July 4th holiday.
