Summer break may come one day later for Janesville Elementary school students. Interim Principal Jacob Georg issued a notice to parents last evening in anticipation of this coming Monday’s special meeting of the board where a revision of the academic calendar is set to be discussed. Yesterday Principal George received a letter from the state that one of the no-school days from October did not qualify for an exception given it was not a fire or COVID day. Principal George when asked why the state was notifying the school so late in the year about the missed day, he responded that he was not sure. An agenda is available to view by visiting the school district’s website under the board of trustees tab.
