Plumas sees an uptick in COVID infections as Summer arrives. Nearly 140 cases have been reported in the month of May as compared to the less than 30 cases in each March and April. Plumas County Public Health says the increase is likely due to new variants of the virus and reminds you that mask-wearing is still highly recommended anytime indoors or in crowded areas. Vaccines and boosters are still available throughout the county and you can find out more by visiting the CountyofPlumas.com/publichealth.
