The first of a split public hearing on the commercial cannabis ordinance reading will take place today during the Lassen County supervisors meeting. The ordinance returns back to the board following an attempt to pass the ordinance at the start of the year. Voted down in a 3-2 vote in February that would have permitted 10 commercial indoor grows with 1500 foot setbacks. This time the ordinance reduces the number of allowable grows by half within the industrialized zones throughout the county. Those areas include Bieber, Westwood, and Susanville. You attend today’s hearing set for 10am at the supervisors chambers on Nevada street. The second public hearing for those that may be working will be held at Jensen hall at the Lassen county fairgrounds on Tuesday, May 24th at 6pm.
