After the hours long meeting of the Lassen County Planning Commission the commercial cannabis ordinance stalls as the commission comes to a deadlock decision 2-2 on a recommendation on the ordinance’s revisions to the board of supervisors. With the latest revisions up to 5 use permits for commercial cannabis businesses would be allowed within the county in sites located in Beiber, Johnstonville, Herlong and Westwood. The ordinance will now move onto the Board of Supervisors agenda for a final decision without any recommendation from the Planning commission.
