Today legislative representatives, Assembly woman Megan Dahle and Senator Brian Dahle will be honor fallen High Desert officer Richard Bianchi Jr. with a dedication of a portion of hwy 36. Bianchi was in an accident two years ago on an inmate hospital transportation to Redding where he died of his injuries. Bianchi served at High Desert State Prison for 10 years. The dedication ceremony will take place beginning at 1pm. If you would like more information on the ceremony you can contact Anthony Lane, the associate warden at High Desert State Prison.
