Under the order, emergency regulations are expected to take effect mid-June, where local water suppliers must act as if their water supplies have dipped by at least 10 to 20% moving them into a Level 2 shortage contingency plan. This means your lawn will only get watered on certain days of the week, and could trigger higher rates or penalties for if you use more than a set amount of water, yet this is left up to local rules.
