Fifteen students from Modoc High School’s MCORPS class joined Modoc County Sheriff’s deputies and the Sheriff’s Posse Search and Rescue Team for an article search training on Wednesday morning.

The day started with a briefing that outlined the search mission and what the students needed to do in the field.

After the briefing, the students spent two hours searching for articles, putting teamwork and communication skills to work alongside law enforcement and rescue team members.

School officials thanked the sheriff’s office and Search and Rescue Team for offering this hands-on training opportunity.
