Plumas County Sheriff Arrests Suspect in Lake Almanor Theft and Burglary Spree

During the past several weeks, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating numerous reports of theft, vehicle theft, and residential burglary in the Lake Almanor area, primarily along the East Shore. On September 16, 2026, Plumas County deputies and detectives arrested Robert Huck of Greenville for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a code-grabbing device.

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit continued its investigation. Huck was released on bail the following week on the above-mentioned charges. After further investigation, several cases were presented to the Plumas County District Attorney’s Office, and felony arrest warrants were issued for Huck on multiple charges of vehicle theft, grand theft, burglary, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

On September 30, 2026, the Investigations Unit located Huck in Greenville and arrested him without incident. He was booked into the Plumas County Jail on the outstanding warrants.
